From simple typesetting on word document to complex layout using DTP applications; from graphic localization to website layout, most people are unaware that when the language changes, so does the layout.
Depending on the language, translated content may expand or reduce in size. Usage of different language fonts, the appropriate font size to use, the kerning, the leading etc are important details that even a DTP expert with years of experience cannot handle proficiently if he does not have knowledge of the local language.
